How to Get a Daily Revenue Briefing on WhatsApp From Your Shopify Store

Most Shopify store owners check their dashboard 5–10 times a day. There's a better way.

If you're like most store owners, your morning routine involves opening Shopify, checking yesterday's revenue, scanning for any problem orders, and maybe pulling up Klaviyo to see how last night's campaign performed. Then you do it again at lunch. And again at 4 PM.

This is expensive in two ways: time (obviously) and cognitive load. Every dashboard check fragments your attention. By the end of the day, you've spent an hour on something that could take 30 seconds — if the information came to you instead of requiring you to go find it.

What a daily revenue briefing looks like

Every morning at 8 AM, your agent compiles and sends a single WhatsApp message containing:

  • Yesterday's total revenue and order count
  • Average order value
  • Top 3 products by revenue
  • Refund rate (and whether it's above your threshold)
  • Any flagged orders (high-value, international, duplicate)
  • Klaviyo campaign revenue attribution (if connected)

How it works technically

The agent connects to your Shopify store via API and pulls the previous day's order data at a scheduled time. It formats that data into a readable summary and sends it to your WhatsApp number via the WhatsApp Business API (or Telegram, if you prefer).

The summary is structured around decisions, not just data. Instead of “Revenue: $4,230,” it says “Revenue: $4,230 (up 12% from last Thursday).” Instead of listing all orders, it highlights the ones that need your attention.

What you need to set this up

To run this yourself, you'd need: Shopify API credentials, a WhatsApp Business API account (or Twilio/similar), a server to run the agent on a schedule, and the Claude Code configuration to tie it all together.

If that sounds like more than you want to deal with, that's exactly what CommerceClaw handles for you. We deploy the whole system in a single day.
